And the computer is another great place to tape that smashing picture!
Let's get working on your resume.
One of the first things that stay-at-home moms ask is how to address the gap that now exists on their corporate resumes. Don't worry. It's almost 2011 and our world is changing rapidly. You will have few problems as employers know well that women give birth to children and return to the workplace. And if you do come across resistance, is that really the sort of company where you'd want to work?
Every situation is different and your options are many. Simply convey your decisions as a plan of action that you have now successfully executed.
i.e. When I was pregnant with my baby, I planned to remain at home until my baby was "x" number of months or years. At that point, my goal was to return to work on a part-time/full-time basis close to home/in the city in the field where I had the most experience/in a new field .
You are now ready to start networking. Corporateandme.com has
great networking tips for you to read. And with the advent of Facebook and LinkedIn, it's easier than ever to spread the message that you're looking for a new job!
